End of Semester Photoshoot

I’ve scheduled our semester end photoshoot for Saturday, December 15th. Beginning Monday, December 10th, you may bring your work to ProvWash, room 237A at the end of your crit to be included in this photoshoot. For those who already had your elective crit and want to have that work photographed as well, please bring it beginning on Monday the 10th. We’ll be using this room for classes/meetings up until the 10th, but I’ll clear it out that day to get ready for the work. If you want a particular part or configuration of your piece photographed, please attach a note to it. If it’s not self explanatory, he may not know how it should go, so a note is helpful.

Lastly, please make sure to pick up your work when you return in January. We will be using this room during Wintersession, therefore, we cannot store your work here beyond the start of Wintersession.

Thanks for your attention to this and best of luck with your finals!!

Witness Tree Project Featured on WBUR Boston

Furniture faculty Dale Broholm’s and Liberal Arts faculty Daniel Cavicchi’s Witness Tree Project was featured on WBUR. Dale interview was broadcast on the air and can be heard below.

A snippet from the interview:

“Witness trees are trees that have been identified by the National Park Service as being witness to a significant historic or cultural event in our nation’s history,” Broholm explained. “So we get the trees from the park service, bring it into the class, and teach about what the trees have witnessed through seminar and also studio where they create objects that reflect what the trees witness.”
